Freshman Obedience Course (8 Weeks to Adult)

Puppies and adults are combined safely in this class.

This class focuses on the very basics without many distractions.

The commands include the following:

  • Sit and Down
  • Leave It, Chewing, and Play Biting
  • Jumping and Settle
  • Housetraining
  • Leash Walking
  • Come and Stay
  • Watch and Target
  • More!

     

Johanna walking SeikiSophomore Obedience Course (4 Months to Adult)

This Class is Held Outside at On Leash Dog Parks.

This class focuses on creating a dog that walks awesome on leash with many distractions.

**Class may be held indoors in the winter and when the weather is too hot.

The commands include the following:

  • Quiet
  • Leash walking
  • Sit Stay
  • Watch and Target
  • Leave It
  • *Optional: Get a Bachelors Degree after Taking This Course through the APDT C.L.A.S.S. Test*

     

Junior Come Course (6 Months to Adult)

This class focuses on creating a dog that comes well when distracted.

The process of the class will be as follows:

  • Come with no distractions
  • Come with minor distractions
  • Come on a long line at dog parks (this will be done safely to avoid on and off leash confrontations). If weather does not permit class will be held indoors and we will work with high distractions indoors.

     

Junior On and Off Leash Course (6 Months to Adult)

This Class is Held Outdoors at On-Leash Dog Parks progressing toward Off-Leash Dog Parks

Off-leash work can take time. This is a course that is preparing your dog progress to become off-leash.

**Class may be held indoors in the winter and when the weather is too hot.

The process of the class will be as follows:

  • Dogs will be on a long leash and be performing basic commands with low distractions
  • Dogs will be on a long leash and will be performing basic commands with moderate to high level distractions
  • If your dog is ready your dog will be off leash performing basic commands at an off leash dog park.
  • Commands will include come.

 

Senior Off Leash Course (6 Months to Adult)

Seiki runningThis Class is Held Outside at Off Leash Dog Parks.

This class is for dogs that are ready to be off leash. Your dog knows how to respond off- leash and you want your dog to respond even better off- leash. This class will be held at off-leash dog parks.

**Class may be held indoors in the winter and when the weather is too hot.

We will be progressing forward on the following commands when your dog is off leash:

  • Come
  • Sit Stay
  • Watch
  • Target
  • Leave It

     

Senior Hiking Course

This Class is Held Outside in the Mountains.

This class is for dogs that are ready to be in the mountains.

The process of the class will be as follows:

  • Your dog will begin on leash learning to respond to basic commands on leash.
  • When and if your dog is ready your dog will learn to respond to basic commands off leash.

     

Extracurricular Trick Course

This class will allow you to bond with your dog in a fun way.

The tricks in the class may vary and may include the following:

  • Spin
  • Shake
  • Wave
  • Kisses
  • Roll Over
  • Sit Pretty
  • Intricate tricks may be trained as well such as "go hide," "close the door," "pick up your toys," etc.

     

Special Education: Aggressive / Reactive Dog Course

($100, 4 dogs Maximum in this Course, 4 Weeks)

This class is for dogs that bark or growl at other dogs. To qualify for this class your dog must be friendly with humans, and owner must do a minimum of three tutoring (private) sessions BEFORE taking this Course.

Barriers will be used in this class so that your dog will not become overwhelmed. During class when your dog is ready barriers will be removed. Each dog will learn at their own pace.

The commands in this class will include the following:

  • Obedience Basics (watch, down, sit, and target)
  • Look at That! ( Your dog will learn to look at dog(s) while remaining calm. We will progress positively and slowly at this so that your dog is integrating at a level that is comfortable to your dog.)
  • Settle and Message (Your dog will learn to be calm around other dogs.)
  • Wait at the Door
  • Emergency Come (A special word that is more powerful than "come.")
  • Sit Stay
  • Leash Walking (If your dog is ready your dog will learn to walk calmly past dogs)
  • More!
